Dr. Juan-Carlos Duran serves as board member and chief financial officer for Adelante Mujer Fresno, Inc. He is a digital media scientist. He specializes in the study of human behavior in digital environments which include online, mobile, virtual and augmented reality environments. His research interest focuses on digital technology’s ability to influence and persuade human perception and decision making. Dr. Duran has been studying our changing behavioral patterns as newer technology becomes part of our healthcare systems. He is a writer, photographer, and an independent board director. Dr. Duran is accredited by the National Association of Corporate Directors, a member of the American Psychological Association and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmys) where he served as Vice-Chair of the Academy's Diversity Committee.
